This time last year, we thought we were busy, by Christmas day we had provided food for 2385 people, which was the largest number yet.
This year, as we begin December, we have already supported 3404 people since April, and we know it is going to get busier yet, the Benefit Cap being applied to those who claimed Universal Credit in March, stores like Bonmarche and Top Shop Closing, people having 80% of their income during furlough but still 100% of their bills, the weather being noticeably colder (I am sat here writing this in 2 jumpers!).
And though we have worked hard during the last few months, none of it would be possible without your support. Thanks to donations we have been able to distribute 45380 Kg of food that you have donated, but also thank you to every single person that has donated money, be it directly or through standing order. This money has allowed us to purchase stock when we have been short, but also to be able to but extra toiletries and cleaning equipment when needed.
