Thanks to RCT Council and local councillors we have moved temporarily from St Lukes Church to the Ilan Centre just off Poets Close.
Though St Luke’s has been absolutely amazing during the last few months, allowing us to take over the space for the sole use of foodbank, the churches opening meant that we were unable to both use the space in a safe, covid secure way. We therefore approached RCT council for help and they have allowed us to use one of the rooms at the Ilan Centre. With thanks to our friends at both Travol and Taff Bargoed Foodbank we were able to make this move in less than 1 day!
This has been a fortuitous move as last week we saw the number of requests for food parcels equal the numbers last seen in May. As we move towards winter we have been told by the Trussell Trust to expect up to a 61% increase in people needing our help.
Please do continue to donate to us, we are still open between 9.30 and 11.30 Monday to Friday for donations only, we are still delivering to those that are in need of a little help.
